Banking And Finanace

Banking and finance department was created out of the defunct Accountancy and Finance Department which is now Accountancy Department in the year 2010. The department commenced academic activities immediately which has been running smoothly till date with enough academic and non-academic staff. Banking and finance department is currently having nine (9) lecturers and four (4) non-academic staff. More than 1000 students have graduated from the department since inception with good number of them having distinctions and now doing well in their different careers. The department is currently running National Diploma (ND) and on the process of commencing the already approved Higher National Diploma (HND) in no distant time.


ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Any candidate who wishes to study Banking and Finance must write the mandatory Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in subjects relevant to the department and attain 120 as a score to be admitted in the department. The candidate must have the Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) or the National Examinations Council (NECO) certificates with five credits including English and Mathematics as compulsory not more than two sittings.


GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Any student who must have passed all his/her courses and defended his/her project is required to be graduated from the department.
